Help & Support
Here you can find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) or get in touch for more support.
General
Demo versions of subtitles will always have "-demo" in the filename. If you see something like "vega-preview", note that this is not the demo subs but rather the name of the AI that was used to create the subtitles. It's only the demo file if you see the word "demo" in the filename. Other causes of this can be if your video player is still using the demo subtitles. Make sure to select the correct subtitles in your video player.
We only provide subtitles (i.e. .srt text files).
To download subtitles, you can use the search bar above or visit the All Subtitles page. Once you find the subtitle you need, click the download button to get the subtitle file.
You can update your username here. Note that usernames can only be updated once.
For a detailed guide on using various subtitle formats, including SRT and ASS, please visit our How to Use Subtitles page.
Most modern video players, including VLC, KMPlayer, and MX Player, support these formats. Ensure your player is updated to the latest version for the best experience.
Some subtitle files can be out of sync with your video file. Luckily, many video players offer the option to manually adjust subtitle timing. Check the settings of your specific player for synchronization options. You can also use a third-party tool to shift your subtitles.
Auto-Subtitle Requests
To upload a video file for subtitles, visit the AI Dashboard and click the "New Subtitle Request" button. You can then upload your video file and select the language you want the subtitles in.
When you upload a file, you should see a progress bar right under the upload box. Depending on your upload speeds and the file size, it may take a few minutes to upload. If you don't see the progress bar, try using a different browser or device. Reach out to us with screenshots at support@subtitlenexus.com if you're still having issues.
We support importing files from rapidgator or dropbox . Ensure your file is publicly accessible. Here are some examples of compatible links: Rapidgator: https://rapidgator.net/file/12345/ | Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/12345/file_1.mp4?rlkey=12345&st=12345&dl=0.
You can upload files up to 12 GB for url based uploads (e.g. rapidgator) and 5 GB for manual uploads.
This error can occur if the file is not publicly accessible or if the file has been removed. Ensure the file is publicly available to anyone with a link (e.g. from an incognito window). This can also occur if the file host is blocking our servers from accessing the file. if it's the latter, these issues usually resolve themselves within 15 to 60 minutes so you can try again later.
Downloads can fail for many reasons. We try our best to provide a detailed error message when a download fails. For cases when there is no specific error, retrying your request in reasonable intervals (e.g. 15 mins) may be the best option. Reach out to us at support@subtitlenexus.com if the issue persists.
Once you run out of subtitle requests, tokens are automatically used to make requests if you have the adequate amount available. Token prices for requests differ depending on which plan (e.g. Free, Premium) you are subscribed to.
No, leftover subtitle requests don't carry over from one month to another.
Sorry for the inconvience! You will get auto refunded for any credits or tokens that were used to make the request. Requests can fail for a variety of reasons such as uploading a corrupted audio / video file or its duration is longer than your plan supports. In most cases, you can find the error message on the specific subtitle request page. If the error is unknown, you can try resubmitting. You can also try another file to see if the issue is tied to a specific file. Reach out to support@subtitlenexus.com with a link to the failed job for more help!
